The Blocking Plan is set up in 3 main stages: for regular vocational school program - Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan - and part time courses and also for virtual school through the National Education Network / Jardiknas and SEAMOLEC Network


For the regular vocational education program students has to follow the 3 main cores education plan : Normative, Adaptive and Practical. For the part time course a suitable curriculum plan will be set up based on the needs and major competencies are chosen by the candidate, while for the virtual members all training material is available online and will be available in July 2008

 

.•The first year students and Career Centre students - Hotel, Culinary Art and Food and Beverage Part Time Basic Course Level  2 has to undergo minimum 9 blocks., where the basic hospitality competencies cores for Hotel and Restaurants are introduce to the fresh junior high school graduates students and those who want to upgrade their vocational skills based on the SKKNI (Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia - Indonesia Work Competence Standards). The regular class for Vocational Education is three years for the basic level 2 and 3,, while for the career centre courses takes minimum 6 months for each level; starting level 3 up to level 4 

.•All students should undergo a work training experience or an industrial attachment training for a period of minimal 6 months, where the hospitality basic competency cores will be assessed by recognised assessors

.•The second year students will undergo work experience training and the Third year students will be prepared for the final formal national examination  Current Competence Recognised Career Centre students and Part Time Course students will have the opportunity to be assessed by recognised assessor at their working place where they will be assist by IHS Makassar tutors.
